Fine Arts Club is a day time preschool and arts enrichment program inside the South Sound Dance studio that provides early learners in the Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater area a safe and creative space to learn, grow and engage with others in art, music, theater, dance, and more. Our goal is to build happy, healthy, and creative kids ready to enter Kindergarten!
We also have an Elementary option through June 2021! Check it out below!
Well this year has been tough, but it has also presented us with an amazing opportunity to create a Fine Arts program at South Sound Dance! This has been a long time dream and we are so happy to have it come to life and can't wait for you to experience it! Enrollment is on-going so if you are looking for something more for your child you have come to the right place.
What to expect for PreK students?
Fine Arts Club offers a preschool experience through arts education in dance, art, theater, music, yoga, and other specialized activities that will stimulate creative thinking and artistry! A normal day will total 3 hours and include roughly 1.5 - 2 hours of Fine Arts classes and another 1 - 1.5 hours dedicated to academic learning and development for Kindergarten.
Your child will explore academics and arts through monthly themes that build confident, strong, and independent little people. Alphabet practice, counting, colors, shapes, writing, and reading, and fine motor skill development are all a part of our PreK classes.
Our PreK classes are limited to 8 students for a more personalized experience and our fantastic PreK teachers will make your child feel safe and welcome. South Sound Dance teachers and specialists will also join our preK program from time to time to teach voice, theater, art, yoga, and more.

What to expect for K-5th grade?
Our program for K-5th is very similar to that of our PreK, but delivers a curriculum targeted for this age group and provides online learning time or homework help. Learning pods are limited to 10 students and will have a South Sound Dance team member leading the program to assist with school work.
Each learning pod has individual learning stations that are socially distanced for each child to work at and learn from. Students will not intermingle with other students, except for the 7-10 that are in their learning pod. Students will have to complete an entrance check, which includes a temperature check and hand washing procedure prior to entering the class, and wear a mask while in the facility. In between learning pods all learning stations will be sanitized according to CDC guidelines.
Students will also be expected to provide their own school supplies, tablets/chromebooks, and headphones to eliminate shared supplies. If you register for our Fine Arts program a detailed list will be sent to you.
Below is an example of what our K-5th schedule looks like. Depending on how much time our students need to complete online work this may vary. Students will be able to attend their LIVE ZOOM classes.
